Acorns Hospice Visit
Today Clive and the Johnny Cash Roadshow band were privileged to visit the Worcester Acorns Children's Hospice - thank you to Sophie for her time and for such an informative tour.
The Acorns facilities are absolutely amazing and provide wonderful care and support to life-limited children and their families in our local area.

Clive John / Johhny Cash Roadshow is proud to announce that Acorns Children's Hospice is our official charity.
This charity gives much needed care to life-limited children and support for their families throughout the Midlands, England.
Acorns has three hospices situated in Birmingham, Walsall, and Worcester and a Community Team that offers practical and emotional support to families in their homes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

No.5 in the Top 40
Following on from the success of Clive's version of The Battle Hymn of Love, which reached No.1 in the HotDisc Charts, Clive's fantastic song Beautiful Lie is this week at No.5 in the Top 40 chart.
It is also at No.3 in both the Hotdisc Independent Top 20 and the Hotdisc Independent British & Irish Top 10. Well done Clive!

No.1 for The Battle Hymn of Love
The Battle Hymn of Love is now at no.1 (up from no.2 last week) in the HotDisc Independent British & Irish Top 10, and no.2 (up from no.4 last week) in the HotDisc Independent Top 20.
Clive's beautiful rendition of this song entered the HotDisc Top 40 chart at no.10 and has now risen to no.6.

The Battle Hymn of Love on Hotdisc
Clive recently recorded an acoustic version of the lovely song The Battle Hymn of Love for a fan as a gift to his wife for their wedding anniversary.
Clive's beautiful rendition of this song is a new entry on the HotDisc Top 40 at no.10 this month.
The Battle Hymn of Love is now at no.3 in the HotDisc Independent British & Irish Top 10, and no.4 in the HotDisc Independent Top 20.

Clive's song Nocturnal, from his Time album, has been rising up the HotDisc Charts and this week (07/01/08) is at no.4 in the HotDisc Independent British & Irish Top 10, no.6 in the HotDisc Independent Top 20, and no.7 in The HotDisc Top 40.

DVD & CD
A fantastic new Johnny Cash Roadshow live DVD and CD, recorded at the Artrix Theatre concert on 30th November 2007, is now in production and will be available to buy in the New Year (not long to wait!) and clips will be available on the the Johnny Cash Roadshow site.

Man In Black Sell Out!
Clive's Man In Black Show, a tribute to Johnny Cash, at the Swan Theatre (Worcester) on Saturday 26th May 2007 is now sold out. If you do not already have tickets you may be lucky by adding your name to the waiting list; phone John Banner on 01684 569285.
This show has been incorrectly advertised in the local Evening News as being on Sunday 27th May - it is definitely on Saturday 26th May.

Man In Black Live CD/DVD
Clive will soon be releasing the live recording of his Man In Black show from The Marr's Bar (27/11/06). Aswell as a CD of the evening a DVD will be availble including the show plus bonus footage of Clive's songs (On Nights Like These, Live footage of Running Away Again and Relax & Pour The Wine with Clearwood).

Charity gig in Richmond
Clive performed a gig in August in memory of a fan, Richard, and helped towards raising over £1000 for the Intensive Care Unit at the James Cook University Hospital.
His songs Purple Sky and Why? were also played from the CD album Purple Sky at Richard's funeral service.
Richard's family are hoping to buy a Mackenzie Thorpe picture (local artist) - www.mackenziethorpe.net/ - to put on the wall of the relatives room in memory of Richard and the rest will buy equipment.

New Album
Clive has just begun recording album number six with Paul Farrer (producer of In A Whisper and Purple Sky). The provisional working title for the album is 'Time'. We'll keep you posted as it develops.

Marr's Bar gig
Clive would like to thank everyone who came to the Marr's Bar gig (13th June) and helped make it such a huge success.
The performance included a 50/50 Johnny Cash/Clive John set which also included the lovely touch of an acoustic set in the middle.
Due to the popularity of this gig Clive will be putting on a similar night, again at the Marr's Bar (Worcester), on Friday 27th October 2006. See you there!

New addition to the family
We are extremely pleased to announce the birth today of Clive's son Harrison Daniel Phillips.

Organised by John Banner as part of his annual charity fundraising concerts and held at Huntingdon Hall Worcester, Clive will be performing his own material, a range of covers, and some Irish tunes with a four piece band:
