Clive John as Johnny Cash

Vocals & Guitar

Clive John Clive has never known anything but music. Ever since being able to make a noise he was always singing.

Singing since he was 4 and entertaining his classmates with mini-concerts all through primary school, Clive soon progressed to guitar and later to mandolin. Plans for university were shelved, and a brief stint in a cake factory cut short, and at 16, he played his first gig for a wage at the Rugby Club at Ross on Wye in Herefordshire.

From this point on Clive made a career out of music. At first with bands, but performing solo has been the main path taken. In 1999 Clive secured a record deal with an independent Irish label (Tandem Records) and spent most of the year 2000 in America. He made an appearance on a New York television where a half hour show was dedicated to his own music. This show has since been repeated many times and Clive has been asked to record a second if he ever decides to return to the US.

Clive now has six albums under his belt containing mainly his own material. Several of his songs have reached top five of the EMS Country Music Chart. TIME (Clive’s latest album) is currently in the middle of an eight song campaign in this chart. ‘Fast Food Fiasco’ and ‘These Hills’ have reached the finals of the prestigious UK Songwriting Contest and ‘Time’ was ‘highly recommended’.
